We just don't think you could have composed a prettier picture than this one on our way to the Gilliam County Fair held in Condon.There were some strong rain showers around the area but the fair just got a little rain. The gorgeous vistas of wheat fields, rainbows and storm clouds plodding toward Montana were breathtaking.
Picture of handmade welcome sign. Have you seen a friendlier County Fair sign. We learned that the correct way to pronounce Gilliam in Gilliam County is "GILL-um".

Picture of 4H superintendents. Here we have Donna Bates, the Gilliam County Fair 4H Superintendent and Clothing 4H leader on the left, Cindy Osterlund is the Gilliam County head 4H agent and also a Clothing 4H leader. More very nice, friendly folks.
Picture of Rodeo Arena. The Gilliam County Fair has a large Rodeo Arena. This fair rodeo is for state wide high school students. It was the first high school rodeo of the season. There were students from all over Oregon.
